Update to ASIC Fees Structure for 2025

Understanding Changes to ASIC Fees and Inspection Costs

ASIC prioritises transparency in all areas of our work, including maintaining a straightforward fee structure. To ensure clarity as we implement necessary increases to our fees, we are providing you with a detailed breakdown of how the updated fee structure will work and how it will affect your institution.

Updates to the Annual Fee and FTE Tier Brackets

The changes we are making are necessary (having not made any increase to our Annual Fees since our formation in 2007), however, we understand the operational challenges many of our institutions are also facing, so we are protecting our currently accredited members from the price rises until their next inspection is due. More institutions will also find that they now fall into a lower FTE (Full-Time Equivalents) tier for Annual Fee calculations.

The increase in Annual Fees comes into effect immediately for both UK and international new applications received from the 1st of April 2025.

New Annual Fee Levels:

0 to 1000 FTEs will be £1,200
1001 to 2000 will be £2,200
2001 and above will be £3,200

Current Institutions are unaffected till renewal: Institutions that are currently accredited either at full or interim, will not be affected by the increase until their current period of accreditation expires, meaning they will not pay the increase until they successfully go through the Re-accreditation process, or the Stage 3 process respectively, from the 1st April 2025.

Support for smaller institutions: The levels of FTEs for each pricing step have also increased which allows for more of our smaller institutions to be charged at the lower rate.

Updates to Inspection Fees

Again, institutions that are currently accredited (full or interim), will not be affected by the increase until their current period of accreditation expires and they successfully go through the Re-accreditation process or the Stage 3 process, after the 1st April 2025.

Expenses incurred for inspections in the UK: Applications received from the 1st of April 2025 will now include a total Inspection Expenses Fee of £200 per inspection regardless of the actual amount paid by ASIC. This will be payable as part of the initial fees to process the application for accreditation.

Expenses incurred for inspections not in the UK:
All onsite inspections will continue to incur expenses (we always advise on the expected amount of expenses when quoting fees, keeping all travel and accommodation costs reasonable and transparent). There is no change to our current process.

Further Information and Support

We hope the above has assisted you in understanding the upcoming changes to our Fees. Should you have any questions, we are here to help!
