We are a Reformed, confessional seminary, Westminster’s faculty members and trustees share a commitment to the Westminster Standards. However, we are first and foremost, a seminary where the word of God is front and centre. To encounter the God of the Bible is experiential: it transforms us from one degree of glory to another. This conviction runs through every department of our Seminary. Future ministers must have their lives shaped by God's true and faithful word, holding fast to it and seeking to make it the foundational content of their ministry. As Martin Bucer recognised, 'True theology is not theoretical, but practical. The end of it is living; that is, to live a godly life.'
